Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 21 percent

In October 2020, 10,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Lindesnes And Lyngdal (+20.6 %), of which 8,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 28 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased one percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 21 percent from last year's October.

3,100 nights (+45.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 800 nights (-48.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 213,000 registered bed nights (+36.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 21,100 (-71.7 %) for foreigners in Lindesnes And Lyngdal, in total 234,000 (+1.6 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.7 percent

Total of 1.5 million registered bed nights (-32.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.4 million nights (-22.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 139,000 nights (-70.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lindesnes And Lyngdal out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 1.6 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Lindesnes And Lyngdal, length of stay in October was on average 3.1 nights and in Norway 2.1 nights (+14.4 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lindesnes And Lyngdal on average 2.9 nights (-2.0 %) and foreigners 4.3 nights (+3.5 %).

3,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.7 percent were domestic, and 15.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lindesnes And Lyngdal on average 2.9 nights (+0.2) and foreigners 4.3 nights (+0.65).
