Registered bed nights increased 24 percent

In September 2021, 55,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Linköping (+23.8 %), of which 48,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 14 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 24 percent from last year's September.

14,200 rooms (+12.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 21,900 rooms (+39.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 367,000 registered bed nights (+21.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 42,100 (-2.1 %) for foreigners in Linköping, in total 409,000 (+18.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.4 percent

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Linköping out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.9 %.

30,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 21 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.9 percent were domestic, and 8.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Linköping on average 1.7 nights (+0.14) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-1.1).
