32,100 registered bed nights

In December 2019, 32,100 bed nights were recorded in Linköping (-5.4 %), of which 27,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,100 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased seven percent and foreign bed nights increased three percent. In total, bed nights decreased five percent from last year's December.

7,100 rooms (-8.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 14,700 rooms (+7.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 515,000 bed nights (+11.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 117,000 (-3.1 %) for foreigners in Linköping, in total 632,000 (+8.2 %) nights.

Total of 3.5 million bed nights (+0.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 764,000 nights (-2.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Linköping out of total bed nights was 0.9 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

19,600 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 90.9 percent were domestic, and 9.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Linköping on average 1.5 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+0.91).
