Registered bed nights increased 78 percent

In April 2021, 27,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Linköping (+78.5 %), of which 25,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 86 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 25 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 78 percent from last year's April.

8,300 rooms (+227.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 10,300 rooms (+50.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 85,900 registered bed nights (-19.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,200 (-46.7 %) for foreigners in Linköping, in total 95,100 (-22.9 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.1 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Linköping out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 1.1 %.

14,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 116 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.9 percent were domestic, and 5.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Linköping on average 1.8 nights (-0.29) and foreigners 3.4 nights (-2.6).
