Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased eight percent

In November 2019, 52,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Linköping (+8.0 %), of which 45,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased nine percent. In total, registered bed nights increased eight percent from last year's November.

10,500 rooms (+15.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 25,400 rooms (+2.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and November, 488,000 registered bed nights (+12.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 112,000 (-3.4 %) for foreigners in Linköping, in total 600,000 (+9.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.4 percent

Total of 3.6 million registered bed nights (+3.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.9 million nights (+5.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 731,000 nights (-6.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Linköping out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.9 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Linköping, length of stay in November was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (+0.6 %).

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Linköping on average 1.6 nights (-1.5 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+4.1 %).

31,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.1 percent were domestic, and 9.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Linköping on average 1.6 nights (-0.02) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.03).
