25,100 registered bed nights

In March 2021, 25,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Linköping (-3.3 %), of which 22,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 21 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased three percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (580 nights).

7,900 rooms (+84.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 8,600 rooms (-32.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 60,400 registered bed nights (-34.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,700 (-56.0 %) for foreigners in Linköping, in total 67,200 (-37.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Linköping out of total registered bed nights was 0.9 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.8 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

Length of stay increased nine percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased nine percent compared to earlier year. In Linköping, length of stay in March was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Linköping on average 2.1 nights (+22.3 %) and foreigners 3.7 nights (+27.3 %).

11,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.1 percent were domestic, and 5.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Linköping on average 2.1 nights (+0.19) and foreigners 3.7 nights (+0.19).
