Registered bed nights increased 55 percent

In May 2022, 9,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Ljungby (+54.6 %), of which 6,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 29 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 220 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 55 percent from last year's May.

2,300 rooms (+182.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,000 rooms (+39.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 19,900 registered bed nights (+39.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,500 (+153.0 %) for foreigners in Ljungby, in total 24,400 (+51.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ljungby out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

5,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 97 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 76.4 percent were domestic, and 23.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ljungby on average 1.5 nights (-0.43) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-1.3).
