Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 80 percent

In June 2022, 11,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Ljungby (+79.8 %), of which 5,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 280 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 80 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (3,900 nights).

2,200 rooms (+52.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,000 rooms (+58.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 25,600 registered bed nights (+34.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,000 (+210.4 %) for foreigners in Ljungby, in total 35,600 (+59.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.9 million registered bed nights (+39.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.2 million nights (+17.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+259.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ljungby out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 13 percent compared to earlier year. In Ljungby, length of stay in June was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-13.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ljungby on average 1.7 nights (-20.9 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-17.3 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 107 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 55.4 percent were domestic, and 44.6 percent were from foreign countries.
