Paid bed nights

12,400 registered bed nights

In March 2023, 12,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Ljusdal (-5.1 %), of which 12,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 350 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased two percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 52 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased five percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Spain (112 nights).

3,400 rooms (+6.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (+7.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 37,100 registered bed nights (+3.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,800 (+10.9 %) for foreigners in Ljusdal, in total 38,900 (+3.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ljusdal out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 19 percent compared to earlier year. In Ljusdal, length of stay in March was on average 2.4 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ljusdal on average 2.4 nights (-18.4 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+39.6 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 18 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.5 percent were domestic, and 2.5 percent were from foreign countries.
