Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 25 percent

In March 2021, 9,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Ljusdal (+24.9 %), of which 9,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 89 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 26 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 29 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 25 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (31 nights).

2,400 rooms (+101.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 660 rooms (-51.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 26,000 registered bed nights (-14.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 350 (-69.0 %) for foreigners in Ljusdal, in total 26,400 (-16.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ljusdal out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 2.3 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Ljusdal, length of stay in March was on average 2.3 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ljusdal on average 2.4 nights (-4.8 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-16.0 %).

4,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 40 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.8 percent were domestic, and 1.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ljusdal on average 2.4 nights (-0.28) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.43).
