16,900 bed nights in paid accommodation (April)
Total of 16,900 bed nights (+11.8 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Lohja in April 2023. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 82 % and non-registered 18 %.
Between January and April, the number of paid bed nights was 59,600 (+32.8 %). Share of registered was 84 % and non-registered 16 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
Registered bed nights increased 17 percent (April)
In April 2023, 13,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Lohja (+17.2 %), of which 12,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 24 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 15 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 17 percent from last year's April.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Ukraine (950 nights).
10,900 nights (+40.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,900 nights (-28.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 44,500 registered bed nights (+46.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,600 (+17.4 %) for foreigners in Lohja, in total 50,200 (+42.8 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.9 percent were domestic, and 5.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lohja on average 2.2 nights (+0.55) and foreigners 6.1 nights (-1.2).

Accommodation sales 791,000 euro (April)
Total accommodation sales in April were 791,000 euro (+97,900). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 16.5 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 661,000 euro (+129,000) and non-registered sales 130,000 euro (-30,900).
Total January-April sales were 2.8 million euro and they increased 842,000 euro from the previous year.
