15,900 bed nights in paid accommodation
Total of 15,900 bed nights (+67.1 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Lohja in December 2022. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 82 % and non-registered 18 %.
Between January and December, the number of paid bed nights was 192,000 (+19.5 %). Share of registered was 79 % and non-registered 21 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
Registered bed nights increased 102 percent
In December 2022, 13,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Lohja (+101.6 %), of which 9,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 69 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 280 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 102 percent from last year's December.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Ukraine (1,300 nights).
10,700 nights (+183.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,300 nights (-13.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 129,000 registered bed nights (+10.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 23,000 (+235.3 %) for foreigners in Lohja, in total 152,000 (+23.3 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 48 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.4 percent were domestic, and 7.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lohja on average 2.0 nights (+0.23) and foreigners 10.0 nights (+6.3).

Accommodation sales 834,000 euro
Total accommodation sales in December were 834,000 euro (+332,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 16.1 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 699,000 euro (+353,000) and non-registered sales 134,000 euro (-20,200).
Total January-December sales were 8.9 million euro and they increased 1.7 million euro from the previous year.
