13,600 bed nights in paid accommodation
Total of 13,600 bed nights (+14.5 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Lohja in April 2019. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 87 % and non-registered 13 %.
Between January and April, the number of paid bed nights was 55,600 (+19.0 %). Share of registered was 90 % and non-registered 10 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
Paid bed nights
Registered bed nights increased eight percent
In April 2019, 11,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Lohja (+8.5 %), of which 10,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 113 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased eight percent from last year's April.
8,200 nights (-0.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,600 nights (+37.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 41,400 registered bed nights (+13.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,500 (+70.3 %) for foreigners in Lohja, in total 49,900 (+19.9 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Lohja, length of stay in April was on average 1.9 nights and in Finland 1.9 nights (-0.4 %).
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lohja on average 1.9 nights (+15.6 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+8.8 %).
6,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.7 percent were domestic, and 8.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lohja on average 1.9 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+0.61).

Total accommodation sales in April were 616,000 euro (+98,400). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 11.1 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 547,000 euro (+65,600) and non-registered sales 68,200 euro (+32,900).
Total January-April sales were 2.0 million euro and they increased 102,000 euro from the previous year.
