1,500 registered bed nights

In December 2022, 1,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Lovisa Region (-31.2 %), of which 1,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 170 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 37 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 143 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 31 percent from last year's December.

730 nights (-41.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 820 nights (-17.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 36,300 registered bed nights (-9.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,600 (+2.9 %) for foreigners in Lovisa Region, in total 41,900 (-8.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+11.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (+5.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 731,000 nights (+23.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lovisa Region out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 21 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.1 percent were domestic, and 4.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lovisa Region on average 2.2 nights (-0.56) and foreigners 5.3 nights (+3.6).

Total accommodation sales in December were 138,000 euro (-37,800). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 34.5 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 90,300 euro (-57,400) and non-registered sales 47,600 euro (+19,600).

Total January-December sales were 3.2 million euro and they decreased 124,000 euro from the previous year.
