Registered bed nights increased 87 percent

In April 2021, 20,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Ludvika (+86.7 %), of which 19,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 710 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 87 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 79 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 87 percent from last year's April.

3,300 rooms (+370.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,300 rooms (+34.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 146,000 registered bed nights (+48.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,700 (-63.9 %) for foreigners in Ludvika, in total 149,000 (+40.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ludvika out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.8 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

5,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 99 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.3 percent were domestic, and 1.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ludvika on average 3.8 nights (-0.35) and foreigners 8.1 nights (+4.4).
