27,500 registered bed nights

In March 2020, 27,500 bed nights were recorded in Ludvika (-20.7 %), of which 26,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 910 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 19 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 53 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 21 percent from last year's March.

2,700 rooms (-26.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,600 rooms (-25.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 88,200 bed nights (-7.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,000 (+28.3 %) for foreigners in Ludvika, in total 95,200 (-5.2 %) nights.

Total of 2.8 million bed nights (-37.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-33.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 405,000 nights (-54.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ludvika out of total bed nights was 1.0 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

7,800 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 22 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 96.0 percent were domestic, and 4.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ludvika on average 3.6 nights (+0.06) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-0.15).
