Registered bed nights increased eight percent

In September 2020, 17,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Ludvika (+8.0 %), of which 16,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 55 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased eight percent from last year's September.

2,700 rooms (+22.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,000 rooms (-25.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 202,000 registered bed nights (+1.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,500 (-56.9 %) for foreigners in Ludvika, in total 214,000 (-5.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.6 percent

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ludvika out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

5,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.0 percent were domestic, and 7.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ludvika on average 3.1 nights (+0.25) and foreigners 2.6 nights (-0.47).
