Ludvika: Tourism in a nutshell

5,800 registered bed nights
In May 2022, 5,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Ludvika (-66.7 %), of which 4,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 970 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 71 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 29 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 67 percent from last year's May.
2,700 rooms (-34.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,600 rooms (-44.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 28,700 registered bed nights (-82.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,700 (+38.0 %) for foreigners in Ludvika, in total 33,400 (-79.9 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 34 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.2 percent were domestic, and 16.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ludvika on average 2.2 nights (-2.2) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-1.3).
