Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased two percent

In February 2020, 35,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Ludvika (+1.7 %), of which 32,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 53 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's February.

4,800 rooms (+27.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,900 rooms (-14.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 61,600 registered bed nights (-1.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,000 (+74.9 %) for foreigners in Ludvika, in total 67,700 (+2.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ludvika out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay increased five percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. In Ludvika, length of stay in February was on average 3.6 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ludvika on average 3.6 nights (+10.2 %) and foreigners 3.6 nights (+48.1 %).

9,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.8 percent were domestic, and 8.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ludvika on average 3.6 nights (+0.1) and foreigners 3.6 nights (+0.97).
