14,900 registered bed nights

In May 2020, 14,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Luleå (-62.4 %), of which 14,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 970 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 53 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 90 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 62 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Poland (540 nights).

2,600 rooms (-64.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,200 rooms (-70.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 91,000 registered bed nights (-32.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 17,100 (-45.0 %) for foreigners in Luleå, in total 108,000 (-34.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.2 million registered bed nights (-58.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.1 million nights (-49.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 176,000 nights (-86.2 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Luleå, length of stay in May was on average 2.8 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (+30.7 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Luleå on average 2.7 nights (-6.1 %) and foreigners 3.6 nights (-19.0 %).
