Paid bed nights
Registered bed nights increased 16 percent
In March 2023, 38,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Lund (+16.0 %), of which 27,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 10,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 33 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 16 percent from last year's March.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (1,700 nights).
13,100 rooms (+30.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 16,100 rooms (+13.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 69,000 registered bed nights (+20.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 27,600 (+46.5 %) for foreigners in Lund, in total 96,600 (+26.9 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Lund, length of stay in March was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lund on average 1.6 nights (-7.9 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-16.2 %).
23,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 32 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 73.8 percent were domestic, and 26.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lund on average 1.6 nights (-0.18) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.47).
