Registered bed nights increased 27 percent
In September 2021, 37,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Lund (+26.7 %), of which 29,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 47 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 27 percent from last year's September.
14,000 rooms (+23.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 12,300 rooms (+26.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 216,000 registered bed nights (+20.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 52,100 (+2.1 %) for foreigners in Lund, in total 268,000 (+16.0 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 34 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 78.1 percent were domestic, and 21.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lund on average 2.0 nights (-0.07) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.31).
