Registered bed nights increased 89 percent

In April 2021, 19,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Lund (+88.5 %), of which 16,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 96 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 52 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 89 percent from last year's April.

7,000 rooms (+138.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 6,300 rooms (+40.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 57,900 registered bed nights (-14.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,900 (-65.0 %) for foreigners in Lund, in total 67,700 (-29.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.8 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lund out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

9,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 141 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.8 percent were domestic, and 10.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lund on average 2.1 nights (-0.62) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-0.23).
