10,300 registered bed nights

In April 2020, 10,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Lund (-73.2 %), of which 8,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 65 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 87 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 73 percent from last year's April.

2,800 rooms (-71.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,400 rooms (-73.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 67,600 registered bed nights (-26.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 28,200 (-38.7 %) for foreigners in Lund, in total 95,800 (-30.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.3 million registered bed nights (-70.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-65.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 114,000 nights (-88.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lund out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 1.5 %.

Length of stay increased 46 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 46 percent compared to earlier year. In Lund, length of stay in April was on average 2.8 nights and in Sweden 2.5 nights (+16.7 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lund on average 2.8 nights (+5.0 %) and foreigners 3.1 nights (+7.1 %).

3,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 82 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.7 percent were domestic, and 15.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lund on average 2.8 nights (+0.9) and foreigners 3.1 nights (+1.1).
