3,600 registered bed nights

In March 2020, 3,600 bed nights were recorded in Lycksele (-47.8 %), of which 3,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 220 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 45 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 70 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 48 percent from last year's March.

550 rooms (+25.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (-54.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 14,000 bed nights (-13.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,000 (-32.4 %) for foreigners in Lycksele, in total 15,000 (-14.7 %) nights.

Total of 2.8 million bed nights (-37.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-33.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 405,000 nights (-54.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lycksele out of total bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,600 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 55 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 94.6 percent were domestic, and 5.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lycksele on average 2.2 nights (+0.36) and foreigners 2.6 nights (-0.31).
