Registered bed nights increased 290 percent

In April 2021, 4,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Lycksele (+292.3 %), of which 4,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 350 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 280 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 760 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 290 percent from last year's April.

760 rooms (+376.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 590 rooms (+67.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 12,800 registered bed nights (-15.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 900 (-15.2 %) for foreigners in Lycksele, in total 13,700 (-15.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lycksele out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

1,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 170 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.1 percent were domestic, and 2.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lycksele on average 2.7 nights (+0.78) and foreigners 7.0 nights (+1.9).
