Registered bed nights increased 37 percent

In September 2021, 9,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Lycksele (+36.8 %), of which 7,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 14 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 600 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 37 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United Kingdom (500 nights).

1,100 rooms (+33.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,300 rooms (+100.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 93,700 registered bed nights (+32.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,400 (+340.3 %) for foreigners in Lycksele, in total 107,000 (+45.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lycksele out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

4,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 49 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 79.7 percent were domestic, and 20.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lycksele on average 2.1 nights (-0.19) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.13).
