Registered bed nights increased seven percent

In April 2022, 5,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Lycksele (+7.4 %), of which 4,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 360 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased one percent. In total, registered bed nights increased seven percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (147 nights).

940 rooms (+24.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+206.5 %) by business visitors.

Total of 4.2 million registered bed nights (+64.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+46.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 791,000 nights (+260.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lycksele out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

2,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 40 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.5 percent were domestic, and 7.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lycksele on average 2.2 nights (-0.5) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-5.1).
