Registered bed nights increased 48 percent

In June 2022, 14,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Lycksele (+48.4 %), of which 10,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 910 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 48 percent from last year's June.

1,100 rooms (-11.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,400 rooms (+158.9 %) by business visitors.

Total of 6.9 million registered bed nights (+39.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.2 million nights (+17.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+259.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lycksele out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

7,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 56 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 73.2 percent were domestic, and 26.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lycksele on average 1.9 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.14).
