Registered bed nights increased 86 percent

In December 2021, 6,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Lysekil (+85.7 %), of which 6,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 86 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 71 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 86 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (200 nights).

2,800 rooms (+70.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (+790.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 198,000 registered bed nights (+17.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,000 (+19.9 %) for foreigners in Lysekil, in total 208,000 (+17.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lysekil out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

5,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 93 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.3 percent were domestic, and 3.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lysekil on average 1.3 nights (-0.04) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-0.43).
