Registered bed nights increased six percent

In August 2022, 42,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Lysekil (+5.7 %), of which 37,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 99 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased six percent from last year's August.

7,600 rooms (-11.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,600 rooms (+79.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 174,000 registered bed nights (+11.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 25,800 (+257.6 %) for foreigners in Lysekil, in total 200,000 (+22.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.5 percent

Total of 8.8 million registered bed nights (+5.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.5 million nights (-4.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.3 million nights (+44.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lysekil out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

21,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.7 percent were domestic, and 10.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lysekil on average 1.9 nights (-0.2) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.04).
