Registered bed nights increased 42 percent

In May 2022, 24,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Lysekil (+41.9 %), of which 23,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 35 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 330 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 42 percent from last year's May.

5,300 rooms (+26.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,100 rooms (+632.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 57,800 registered bed nights (+47.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,900 (+463.4 %) for foreigners in Lysekil, in total 63,800 (+58.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lysekil out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

15,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 62 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.7 percent were domestic, and 7.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lysekil on average 1.6 nights (-0.23) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+0.02).
