Registered bed nights increased 75 percent

In September 2019, 18,700 bed nights were recorded in Lysekil (+75.0 %), of which 15,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,100 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 70 percent and foreign bed nights increased 109 percent. In total, bed nights increased 75 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from United Kingdom (1,300 nights).

3,800 rooms (+15.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,600 rooms (+96.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 174,000 bed nights (+18.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 31,600 (+9.3 %) for foreigners in Lysekil, in total 205,000 (+16.5 %) nights.

Total of 4.5 million bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lysekil out of total bed nights was 0.4 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

7,200 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 87.1 percent were domestic, and 12.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lysekil on average 2.5 nights (+1.2) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+1.6).
