Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 107 percent

In October 2019, 19,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Lysekil (+107.4 %), of which 16,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 96 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 197 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 107 percent from last year's October.

2,900 rooms (+0.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 6,400 rooms (+159.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 190,000 registered bed nights (+22.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 34,600 (+15.7 %) for foreigners in Lysekil, in total 225,000 (+21.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+3.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+5.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 936,000 nights (-2.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lysekil out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay increased 121 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 121 percent compared to earlier year. In Lysekil, length of stay in October was on average 3.1 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (-0.5 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lysekil on average 2.9 nights (+10.1 %) and foreigners 6.3 nights (+3.8 %).

6,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.3 percent were domestic, and 7.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lysekil on average 2.9 nights (+1.5) and foreigners 6.3 nights (+4.2).
