7,800 registered bed nights

In February 2020, 7,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Lysekil (-8.7 %), of which 7,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 770 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased three percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 41 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased nine percent from last year's February.

3,400 rooms (+25.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 590 rooms (-67.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 11,900 registered bed nights (-13.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,600 (-33.4 %) for foreigners in Lysekil, in total 13,500 (-16.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lysekil out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.3 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 18 percent compared to earlier year. In Lysekil, length of stay in February was on average 1.3 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lysekil on average 1.2 nights (-11.4 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-41.3 %).

6,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.8 percent were domestic, and 6.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lysekil on average 1.2 nights (-0.22) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.93).
