Paid bed nights

3,600 registered bed nights

In December 2020, 3,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Lysekil (-49.6 %), of which 3,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 175 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 48 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 67 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 50 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (84 nights).

1,600 rooms (-48.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 159 rooms (-83.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 169,000 registered bed nights (-18.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,400 (-76.7 %) for foreigners in Lysekil, in total 177,000 (-26.9 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased seven percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Lysekil, length of stay in December was on average 1.4 nights and in Sweden 2.8 nights (+37.5 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lysekil on average 1.3 nights (-1.1 %) and foreigners 3.9 nights (+15.6 %).

2,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 53 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.3 percent were domestic, and 1.7 percent were from foreign countries.
