Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 17 percent

In June 2022, 29,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Lysekil (+17.2 %), of which 26,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 270 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 17 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (1,700 nights).

6,000 rooms (+10.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+135.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 83,800 registered bed nights (+32.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,100 (+375.6 %) for foreigners in Lysekil, in total 92,900 (+42.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.9 million registered bed nights (+39.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.2 million nights (+17.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+259.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lysekil out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 2.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 15 percent compared to earlier year. In Lysekil, length of stay in June was on average 2.6 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-13.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lysekil on average 2.6 nights (-12.3 %) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+3.2 %).

11,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 37 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.2 percent were domestic, and 9.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lysekil on average 2.6 nights (-0.48) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-0.06).
