6,500 registered bed nights

In March 2019, 6,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Maarianhamina (-7.5 %), of which 3,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased four percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased seven percent from last year's March.

4,500 nights (-18.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,000 nights (+31.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 10,400 registered bed nights (+7.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,300 (+8.1 %) for foreigners in Maarianhamina, in total 17,700 (+7.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.9 million registered bed nights (-2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (-2.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 567,000 nights (-1.2 %) by foreigners.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 51.9 percent were domestic, and 48.1 percent were from foreign countries.
