130,000 registered bed nights
In March 2020, 130,000 bed nights were recorded in Malung-Sälen (-19.1 %), of which 121,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 9,200 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 17 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 40 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 19 percent from last year's March.
22,400 rooms (-1.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 6,400 rooms (-39.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 383,000 bed nights (-9.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 57,900 (-10.7 %) for foreigners in Malung-Sälen, in total 441,000 (-10.0 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 22 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 95.4 percent were domestic, and 4.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Malung-Sälen on average 4.7 nights (+0.13) and foreigners 7.5 nights (+2.2).
