Mäntyharju: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
3,000 registered bed nights
In August 2022, 3,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Mäntyharju (-8.2 %), of which 2,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 350 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 43 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's August.
2,900 nights (-4.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 65 nights (-68.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 13,400 registered bed nights (-16.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,300 (+191.2 %) for foreigners in Mäntyharju, in total 14,600 (-11.9 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.2 percent were domestic, and 8.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mäntyharju on average 2.2 nights (+0.01) and foreigners 3.1 nights (-0.04).
