2,400 registered bed nights

In December 2020, 2,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Mariestad (-12.9 %), of which 2,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 157 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 67 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 13 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (30 nights).

560 rooms (-41.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 530 rooms (-14.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 111,000 registered bed nights (+4.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,300 (-72.4 %) for foreigners in Mariestad, in total 117,000 (-8.9 %) registered nights.

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 45 percent compared to earlier year. In Mariestad, length of stay in December was on average 2.8 nights and in Sweden 2.8 nights (+37.5 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mariestad on average 2.9 nights (+19.7 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-42.0 %).
