Registered bed nights increased eight percent

In June 2019, 3,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Mark (+8.5 %), of which 3,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 540 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 15 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 20 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased eight percent from last year's June.

810 rooms (+20.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 300 rooms (+23.1 %) by business visitors.

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mark out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 2.3 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 24 percent compared to earlier year. In Mark, length of stay in June was on average 2.3 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mark on average 2.2 nights and foreigners 2.3 nights .

1,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 43 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.1 percent were domestic, and 13.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mark on average 2.2 nights (-0.48) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-2.4).
