Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 197 percent

In May 2021, 2,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Mark (+196.8 %), of which 2,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 32 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 200 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 23 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 197 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (17 nights).

250 rooms (-22.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 430 rooms (+209.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 5,800 registered bed nights (+77.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 67 (-76.8 %) for foreigners in Mark, in total 5,900 (+65.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.3 million registered bed nights (+46.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.0 million nights (+45.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 291,000 nights (+65.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mark out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased four percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. In Mark, length of stay in May was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-5.3 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mark on average 2.2 nights (+21.5 %) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-13.5 %).

1,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 186 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.9 percent were domestic, and 1.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mark on average 2.2 nights (+0.06) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+0.84).
