Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 136 percent

In August 2021, 4,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Mark (+135.7 %), of which 4,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 420 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 130 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 210 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 136 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (175 nights).

640 rooms (-24.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 560 rooms (+118.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 18,500 registered bed nights (+104.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 990 (+66.4 %) for foreigners in Mark, in total 19,500 (+102.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.1 percent

Total of 8.4 million registered bed nights (+39.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.8 million nights (+25.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+160.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mark out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Mark, length of stay in August was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-3.6 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mark on average 2.1 nights (+14.8 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+3.6 %).

2,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 118 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.0 percent were domestic, and 8.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mark on average 2.1 nights (+0.16) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.03).
