Registered bed nights increased 32 percent
In May 2022, 3,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Markaryd (+32.4 %), of which 2,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 450 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 167 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 32 percent from last year's May.
270 rooms (+17.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (+16.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 7,800 registered bed nights (+51.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 810 (+20.8 %) for foreigners in Markaryd, in total 8,600 (+48.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 69 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.4 percent were domestic, and 13.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Markaryd on average 1.9 nights (-0.45) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-2.4).
