Registered bed nights increased 14 percent
In August 2020, 3,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Markaryd (+14.4 %), of which 3,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 310 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 45 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 64 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's August.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (220 nights).
630 rooms (+31.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 560 rooms (-47.5 %) by business visitors.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Markaryd, length of stay in August was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (+6.0 %).
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Markaryd on average 2.1 nights and foreigners 1.3 nights .
