13,700 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 13,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Mellerud (-4.3 %), of which 13,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 270 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 29 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 93 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased four percent from last year's June.

520 rooms (-45.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 184 rooms (-10.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 24,300 registered bed nights (+4.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,200 (-82.4 %) for foreigners in Mellerud, in total 25,500 (-15.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (-48.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (-32.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 257,000 nights (-87.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mellerud out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

5,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 18 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.8 percent were domestic, and 2.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mellerud on average 2.6 nights (+0.17) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.53).

Registered January-June sales were 5.4 million SEK and they decreased 2.3 million euro from the previous year.
