Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased one percent

In February 2023, 1,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Mellerud (+1.2 %), of which 1,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 310 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased six percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 16 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased one percent from last year's February.

131 rooms (+18.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 210 rooms (+30.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 2,900 registered bed nights (+10.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 580 (+8.8 %) for foreigners in Mellerud, in total 3,500 (+10.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mellerud out of total registered bed nights was 0.0 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 2.4 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Mellerud, length of stay in February was on average 2.4 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mellerud on average 2.6 nights (-21.5 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-7.1 %).

720 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 76.9 percent were domestic, and 23.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mellerud on average 2.6 nights (-0.28) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.17).
