Mellerud: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 34 percent
In December 2021, 1,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Mellerud (+34.0 %), of which 1,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 185 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 17 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 520 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 34 percent from last year's December.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (68 nights).
169 rooms (+172.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 132 rooms (+83.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 94,700 registered bed nights (+16.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,400 (+297.4 %) for foreigners in Mellerud, in total 107,000 (+26.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 60 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.9 percent were domestic, and 18.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mellerud on average 2.4 nights (-0.41) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.44).

Registered January-December sales were 23.7 million SEK and they increased 5.5 million euro from the previous year.
