Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 89 percent

In March 2021, 1,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Mellerud (+88.8 %), of which 1,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 48 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 120 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 67 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 89 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (13 nights).

151 rooms (+93.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 159 rooms (-2.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 4,400 registered bed nights (+81.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 230 (-54.2 %) for foreigners in Mellerud, in total 4,600 (+58.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mellerud out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased 95 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 95 percent compared to earlier year. In Mellerud, length of stay in March was on average 5.8 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mellerud on average 6.0 nights (+58.1 %) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+22.7 %).

280 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.3 percent were domestic, and 6.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mellerud on average 6.0 nights (+3.1) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-0.56).
