10,300 registered bed nights (April)

In April 2023, 10,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Mikkeli (-1.0 %), of which 9,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 790 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased five percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 85 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased one percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from France (138 nights).

4,900 nights (-7.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 5,400 nights (+5.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 37,500 registered bed nights (+5.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,000 (+78.7 %) for foreigners in Mikkeli, in total 40,500 (+8.8 %) registered nights.

Total accommodation sales in April were 852,000 euro (+105,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 27.0 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 621,000 euro (+85,100) and non-registered sales 230,000 euro (+19,700).

Total January-April sales were 3.3 million euro and they increased 550,000 euro from the previous year.
