33,300 registered bed nights

In July 2023, 33,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Mikkeli (-14.1 %), of which 30,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 53 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 14 percent from last year's July.

28,000 nights (-11.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 5,300 nights (-25.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and July, 97,000 registered bed nights (-0.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,400 (-16.0 %) for foreigners in Mikkeli, in total 105,000 (-1.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (-2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.6 million nights (-3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 590,000 nights (+4.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mikkeli out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Accommodation sales 2.1 million euro

Total accommodation sales in July were 2.1 million euro (-39,100). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 20.8 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 1.6 million euro (-104,000) and non-registered sales 433,000 euro (+65,300).

Total January-July sales were 8.0 million euro and they increased 594,000 euro from the previous year.
