Registered bed nights increased 39 percent

In September 2021, 3,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Mjölby (+39.1 %), of which 3,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 490 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 27 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 290 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 39 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Romania (240 nights).

1,100 rooms (+81.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,600 rooms (+10.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 23,800 registered bed nights (+11.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,200 (+13.8 %) for foreigners in Mjölby, in total 26,000 (+12.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mjölby out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

2,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 24 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.4 percent were domestic, and 3.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mjölby on average 1.4 nights (+0.06) and foreigners 5.8 nights (+1.4).
