Registered bed nights increased 52 percent

In April 2021, 1,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Mjölby (+52.1 %), of which 1,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 114 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 60 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 10 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 52 percent from last year's April.

370 rooms (+128.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 880 rooms (+19.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 5,400 registered bed nights (-20.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 380 (-46.0 %) for foreigners in Mjölby, in total 5,800 (-22.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mjölby out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 99 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.5 percent were domestic, and 3.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mjölby on average 1.3 nights (-0.37) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-0.9).
