Registered bed nights increased 67 percent

In December 2021, 2,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Mjölby (+66.8 %), of which 1,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 89 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 74 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 13 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 67 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Bulgaria (62 nights).

360 rooms (+50.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,100 rooms (+84.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 32,000 registered bed nights (+19.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,000 (+26.9 %) for foreigners in Mjölby, in total 35,000 (+20.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mjölby out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 132 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.7 percent were domestic, and 1.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mjölby on average 1.3 nights (-0.51) and foreigners 4.7 nights (+2.1).
