Registered bed nights increased eight percent

In December 2019, 1,900 bed nights were recorded in Mjölby (+8.3 %), of which 1,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 92 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased eight percent and foreign bed nights increased seven percent. In total, bed nights increased eight percent from last year's December.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (37 nights).

240 rooms (+17.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+11.4 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.5 million bed nights (+0.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 764,000 nights (-2.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mjölby out of total bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,100 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 95.8 percent were domestic, and 4.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mjölby on average 1.7 nights (+0.24) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.24).
