Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 35 percent

In March 2019, 2,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Mjölby (+35.1 %), of which 2,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 120 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 37 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased eight percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 35 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Bulgaria (26 nights).

370 rooms (-3.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (+37.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 6,700 registered bed nights (+37.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 400 (+63.9 %) for foreigners in Mjölby, in total 7,100 (+39.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (-3.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.6 million nights (-1.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 888,000 nights (-12.6 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Mjölby, length of stay in March was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-4.6 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mjölby on average 1.4 nights (+6.0 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+17.8 %).
