Registered bed nights increased 220 percent

In April 2021, 8,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Mölndal (+224.8 %), of which 8,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 370 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 220 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 230 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 220 percent from last year's April.

2,900 rooms (+247.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,000 rooms (+120.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 23,800 registered bed nights (-12.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,100 (-76.9 %) for foreigners in Mölndal, in total 24,900 (-21.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mölndal out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

5,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 250 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.5 percent were domestic, and 3.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mölndal on average 1.6 nights (-0.13) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.02).
