Registered bed nights increased 23 percent

In September 2020, 2,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Mönsterås (+23.2 %), of which 2,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 162 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 35 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 40 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 23 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (100 nights).

102 rooms (+22.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 440 rooms (-31.6 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mönsterås out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 93 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.9 percent were domestic, and 7.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mönsterås on average 1.7 nights (-1.0) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.61).
