Mönsterås: Tourism in a nutshell

Registered bed nights increased nine percent (September)
In September 2021, 2,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Mönsterås (+8.8 %), of which 1,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 410 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 152 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased nine percent from last year's September.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (240 nights).
114 rooms (+11.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 650 rooms (+47.3 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 26 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.3 percent were domestic, and 12.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mönsterås on average 2.4 nights (+0.68) and foreigners 3.5 nights (+1.7).
