Registered bed nights increased 147 percent

In May 2022, 22,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Mora (+146.9 %), of which 19,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 122 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 650 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 147 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (950 nights).

2,700 rooms (+175.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,700 rooms (+109.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 96,200 registered bed nights (+57.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,100 (+393.2 %) for foreigners in Mora, in total 107,000 (+69.2 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mora out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

10,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 157 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.6 percent were domestic, and 15.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mora on average 2.1 nights (-0.07) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.2).
