Registered bed nights increased 53 percent

In September 2021, 21,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Mora (+52.8 %), of which 18,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 47 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 120 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 53 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (950 nights).

3,000 rooms (-7.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,800 rooms (+186.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 194,000 registered bed nights (+3.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 24,900 (+148.0 %) for foreigners in Mora, in total 219,000 (+10.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mora out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

10,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 30 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.9 percent were domestic, and 13.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mora on average 2.1 nights (+0.34) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.07).
