Registered bed nights increased 15 percent
In December 2019, 17,800 bed nights were recorded in Mora (+14.9 %), of which 17,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 750 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and foreign bed nights decreased eight percent. In total, bed nights increased 15 percent from last year's December.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (133 nights).
3,600 rooms (+26.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,500 rooms (+53.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 265,000 bed nights (+9.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 60,800 (+5.9 %) for foreigners in Mora, in total 326,000 (+8.4 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

8,800 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 27 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 95.3 percent were domestic, and 4.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mora on average 2.0 nights (-0.19) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.54).
