Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased two percent

In March 2019, 18,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Mora (+1.7 %), of which 17,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased five percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (580 nights).

4,000 rooms (+43.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (-22.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 55,400 registered bed nights (+6.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,300 (+7.2 %) for foreigners in Mora, in total 59,700 (+6.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (-3.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.6 million nights (-1.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 888,000 nights (-12.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mora out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased 36 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 36 percent compared to earlier year. In Mora, length of stay in March was on average 3.4 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-4.6 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mora on average 3.5 nights (+21.3 %) and foreigners 2.6 nights (-18.7 %).

5,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 25 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.9 percent were domestic, and 12.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mora on average 3.5 nights (+1.1) and foreigners 2.6 nights (-0.68).
