Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 14 percent

In February 2020, 27,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Mora (+14.2 %), of which 25,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 40 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's February.

5,800 rooms (+12.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (+32.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 42,100 registered bed nights (+9.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,700 (+41.3 %) for foreigners in Mora, in total 45,700 (+11.6 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.6 percent

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mora out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 2.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 35 percent compared to earlier year. In Mora, length of stay in February was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mora on average 2.0 nights (-27.8 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-4.4 %).

13,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 76 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.7 percent were domestic, and 8.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mora on average 2.0 nights (-1.2) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.04).
