Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased seven percent

In March 2021, 14,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Mora (+7.1 %), of which 13,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 550 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased nine percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 27 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased seven percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United Kingdom (123 nights).

2,700 rooms (+21.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (+63.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 42,400 registered bed nights (-22.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,500 (-65.7 %) for foreigners in Mora, in total 44,000 (-25.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mora out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 3.4 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 18 percent compared to earlier year. In Mora, length of stay in March was on average 3.4 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mora on average 3.4 nights (+16.7 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-27.7 %).

4,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 31 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.8 percent were domestic, and 6.2 percent were from foreign countries.
