Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 50 percent

In February 2022, 25,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Mora (+50.0 %), of which 22,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 36 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 450 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 50 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (850 nights).

4,000 rooms (+13.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,900 rooms (+57.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 38,700 registered bed nights (+34.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,700 (+379.1 %) for foreigners in Mora, in total 43,300 (+45.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+10.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (-3.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 571,000 nights (+159.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mora out of total registered bed nights was 0.9 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

Length of stay was 2.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 23 percent compared to earlier year. In Mora, length of stay in February was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (-34.6 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mora on average 2.1 nights (-25.3 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+4.7 %).

12,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 94 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.7 percent were domestic, and 14.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mora on average 2.1 nights (-0.65) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.31).
