Registered bed nights increased 49 percent

In March 2019, 3,500 bed nights were recorded in Mörbylånga (+48.7 %), of which 3,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 189 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 46 percent and foreign bed nights increased 139 percent. In total, bed nights increased 49 percent from last year's March.

1,200 rooms (+29.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 710 rooms (+192.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 8,900 bed nights (+82.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 640 (+362.6 %) for foreigners in Mörbylånga, in total 9,600 (+90.3 %) nights.

Total of 4.5 million bed nights (-3.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.6 million nights (-1.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 888,000 nights (-12.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mörbylånga out of total bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,700 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 19 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 95.5 percent were domestic, and 4.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mörbylånga on average 2.0 nights (+0.38) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+0.84).
