Registered bed nights increased 37 percent

In August 2021, 84,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Mörbylånga (+37.0 %), of which 76,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 28 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 250 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 37 percent from last year's August.

8,500 rooms (+62.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 970 rooms (+29.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 336,000 registered bed nights (+27.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 19,100 (+180.3 %) for foreigners in Mörbylånga, in total 355,000 (+31.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.4 million registered bed nights (+39.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.8 million nights (+25.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+160.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mörbylånga out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay was 2.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased less than one percent compared to earlier year. In Mörbylånga, length of stay in August was on average 2.8 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-3.6 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mörbylånga on average 2.9 nights (+1.0 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-15.4 %).

30,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 38 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.8 percent were domestic, and 14.2 percent were from foreign countries.
