Registered bed nights increased 29 percent

In October 2021, 99,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Møre Og Romsdal (+28.5 %), of which 89,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 10,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 30 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 20 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 29 percent from last year's October.

37,600 nights (+26.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 33,000 nights (+4.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 1.1 million registered bed nights (+6.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 213,000 (+44.3 %) for foreigners in Møre Og Romsdal, in total 1.3 million (+10.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 4.2 percent

Total of 2.4 million registered bed nights (+57.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.1 million nights (+50.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 306,000 nights (+120.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Møre Og Romsdal out of total registered bed nights was 4.2 % (-0.9 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 4.3 % and foreign bed nights 3.5 %.

53,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 38 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.0 percent were domestic, and 8.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Møre Og Romsdal on average 1.8 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-2.5).

Registered January-October sales were 572.7 million crowns and they increased 95.1 million euro from the previous year.
