Registered bed nights increased 46 percent

In February 2022, 56,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Møre Og Romsdal (+45.5 %), of which 51,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 59 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 23 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 46 percent from last year's February.

19,000 nights (+72.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 25,700 nights (+48.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 90,700 registered bed nights (+61.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,700 (-38.1 %) for foreigners in Møre Og Romsdal, in total 100,000 (+40.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 3.2 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Møre Og Romsdal out of total registered bed nights was 3.2 % (-1.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 3.9 % and foreign bed nights 1.1 %.

27,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 67 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.2 percent were domestic, and 5.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Møre Og Romsdal on average 2.0 nights (-0.08) and foreigners 3.2 nights (-5.0).

Registered accommodation sales in February were 34.9 million crowns (+12.4 million).

Registered January-February sales were 63.0 million crowns and they increased 17.7 million euro from the previous year.
